As a designer on the Web team, you will set design standards for and drive the creation of compelling designs for Alesis's global web sites. Your creativity, understanding of user behavior and strong visual design sense will contribute to developing cutting edge web pages with a great user experience. You will work collaboratively with other web developers. You are a highly creative individual with a fluency in Photoshop/Fireworks/Illustrator and Flash. You have an intimate understanding of design process from concept, to wireframe, design, and markup. You have great attention to detail, and proven expertise in web page design. Your desire to learn and expand your skill set will prove essential, as you will have many opportunities to stretch your abilities.
Responsibilities:- Design major components of multiple brand websites and web applications.
- Set standards across large project areas, often global in scope
- Drive creative web projects from start to finish, collaborating with Marketing, Engineering and other web designers and developers
- Create content/site maps, user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes
- Conduct and apply research on design practices, identifying problems and proposing creative solutions
- Create style guides conducive to localization of graphic assets.
- Synthesize feedback from multiple sources and iterating rapidly on mockups
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- Experience designing and implementing web sites with a strong knowledge of graphic editing and optimization
- Expert in user-centric and data-driven design
- Strong visual design sense, online portfolio of work required
- Strong HTML/CSS skills with solid knowledge of usability, accessibility and cross browser issues. (Javascript & Actionscript 3 is a plus)
- Experience with PHP
- Excellent attention to detail, keen eye for clean UI implementation and knowledge of design best practices
- Familiar with CMS template methodology (Expression Engine is a plus)

Electronics Engineer
Alesis is expanding and is seeking to hire an experienced Audio Electronics Engineer.
Experience and Education Required:
The candidate for this position must have a minimum of 7 to 10 years experience designing and developing mass market audio products. The candidate must have strong experience in the areas of analog and digital audio for microcontroller based products. A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field, is required.
Key Job Responsibilities and Technical Experience Requirements:
Interprets and implements product performance specifications in order to design and specify audio electronics based products. Works with product managers to develop functional specifications; researches components and costs; Specifies, designs, and implements analog and digital audio processing circuitry, microcontroller circuitry, and DSP code.
This is a hands-on design engineering position ideal for an engineer with a passion for developing audio products. The candidate must have proven experience designing and testing analog signal processing, including designing DSP and microcontroller circuits, performing schematic capture, as well as developing DSP code and firmware code for various DSP and microcontroller IC’s.
Strong experience with Audio Precision is a must, including writing test procedures for manufacturing. Experience with FilterShop is a plus. The candidate must have schematic capture and BOM experience. PCB layout experience is preferred.
The ideal candidate for this position would have a mix of experience designing audio mixers, signal processing equipment, loudspeaker processing, etc. Experience developing products which interface to mobile phones, tablet computers, and PC’s is a plus. Experience designing and testing class-D power amplifiers and switch mode power supplies is a plus. Experience with wireless audio and communication protocols is a plus. Candidates with professional audio product experience will be preferred.

Hardware/Firmware Design Engineer
Alesis is seeking an experienced hardware/firmware engineer to design hardware systems (schematic and layout) who has a passion for audio equipment.
Experience and Education Required:
The candidate for this position should have 5 to 10 years experience with hardware system design, schematic design, PCB design, and firmware development. The candidate must have a B.S. degree in electrical engineering.

This candidate would design hardware systems, design schematics, perform some PCB layout, lead prototype bring-up, and evaluate parts and systems. Loudspeaker Systems Engineer
Alesis is expanding and we are seeking to hire an experienced Loudspeaker Systems Engineer.
Experience and Education Required:
The candidate for this position must have a minimum of 5+ years experience designing and developing mass market loudspeaker products for the professional and/or consumer marketplace. The candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or in a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
Key Job Responsibilities and Technical Experience Requirements:
Interprets and implements product performance specifications in order to design and specify loudspeaker based products. Works with industrial designers, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers to specify, and to develop solutions for acoustics, signal processing, transducers, and power amplification.
Performs and interprets measurements of: Loudspeaker systems and components; analog and digital signal processing, power amplifiers, and limiter/protection circuits. Analyzes measurements in order to design or specify design changes. Candidate must have experience using Audio Precision measurement equipment, and experience with an acoustical measurement system such as TEF, CLIO, or preferably MLSSA.
Experience with Filtershop and LEAP is desirable. Experience evaluating and specifying loudspeaker transducer components is highly desirable. Experience designing high frequency horns and waveguides is a plus.
Experience specifying and designing analog and digital signal processing for loudspeaker products is a must. Experience testing and troubleshooting power amplifiers is a definite plus.

Web Developer
SCOPE OF POSITION:
Alesis is currently seeking a PHP Developer. This individual will have expertise in PHP (5), MySQL, CSS, AJAX, JAVASCRIPT, etc. Experience with Code Igniter and/or Expression Engine is a big plus. The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading our custom CMS as well as developing new functionality. The perfect candidate will be a creative individual who is not afraid to take on additional responsibilities. The position is located in Cumberland, RI. Responsibilities:
This position will be
responsible for designing and executing well-commented modular and object
oriented code for Numark and its extended properties’ online intiatives,
including websites, email newsletters and other ad hoc projects.
- Create new modular applications for web using PHP & MySQL with a focus on UI utilizing AJAX where appropriate
- Manage the code base and architecture for our custom CMS
- Update code base with enhancements based on internal client needs
- Design database structures and arrays to support PHP applications
- Help with linux server maintenance and upkeep as needed
Candidate Profile:
- 3-5 years experience in a full time PHP development role with a focus on delivering content to consumers
