  • Are there any special drivers or software to install?

GuitarLink is a plug-and-play device, so there are no drivers to install. The first time you connect it to your computer, it will automatically install all the necessary drivers and be ready to use immediately.

You can use GuitarLink with any kind of recording software that supports USB audio devices.
  • How do I configure my operating system to work with GuitarLink?

First, connect GuitarLink to a free USB port on your computer. Then:

In Windows XP, go to Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices. Click on the "Audio" tab and select "C-Media USB Audio Device" as your default recording device, then click "OK."

In Windows Vista, go to Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel > Sound (or select "Switch to Classic View" if you don't see "Sound" as an option). Click on the "Recording" tab and select "Microphone C-Media USB Audio Device" as the default device. Click "OK."

For Macs, go to your "System Preferences," then click "Sound." Click the "Input" tab and select "C-Media USB Audio Device" as the input device. Close the Control Panel.
